bosozoku: violent, running speed tribes
Here’s the story..earlier today I was thinkig about the different types of exhaust that I have seen on cars and some possible option for my S14. I am very much attracted to the “bosozoku” style of Japan so that is mostly what I was looking at. For some strange reason I decided to set my AIM status to “bosozoku” and got asked what it meant by more than a few people. I explained and forwarded them to the wiki. ;]
“Bōsōzoku (暴走族, Bōsōzoku? “violent running gang”) is a Japanese subculture associated with motorcycle clubs and gangs.”
Upon further google-age I came across a short documentary on the foremost Bosozoku photographer, Masayuki Yoshinaga, exhibited alongside his work at the ‘Heavy Light’ exhibition at the International Center of Photography New York. Hopefully, this is only a trailer of a much fuller documentary that I look forward to viewing in the future. Enjoy…
